MB Trust is a UK-registered charity (No. 1214129) with registered office at 31a Dewsbury Gate Rd, Staincliffe, Dewsbury WF13 4AX. We are the data controller for personal data processed via this website and our donation channels.
Data we collect
We collect information you provide when donating, contacting us or subscribing to updates, including your name, email, postal address, phone number, donation amount and Gift Aid declaration. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.
How we use your data
We use your data to process donations, issue receipts, claim Gift Aid from HMRC where applicable, respond to enquiries, and (with your consent) send updates about our work.
Legal basis
We rely on contract (to process donations), legal obligation (Gift Aid, safeguarding, financial reporting), legitimate interests (charity administration), and consent (marketing communications).
Sharing your data
We share data with HMRC for Gift Aid, Stripe for payment processing, and our accountants and regulators as required by law. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact info@mbtrust.org.uk to exercise these rights.
Retention
We keep Gift Aid records for at least 6 years to comply with HMRC requirements. Other donation records are retained for financial reporting purposes.
